You will also notice that your controller likely is not exactly center, it may be off a tiniest bit. So much as touch the joysticks and their position values will change. On the Elite Series controller, you can adjust the dead-zone using the Xbox series app. This is simply a software configuration issue and the ootb dead-zone for the Series controller is just poor. It’s by far one of the worst I’ve ever experienced and it’s a far cry from the dead-zones on the 360 controller. I invite others to spend some time testing the dead-zone on both the sticks and triggers and compare it to other controllers. I’ve spent some time testing Xbox Series controller dead-zones on the Series X and I’ve come to the conclusion that they’re simply unacceptable.
